SkyWings Academy hosted this recruitment drive at its Kochi campus. Hiring decisions, selection criteria and offers are made solely by the airline. SkyWings is not a recruitment agent for IndiGo and never charges candidates a fee to attend a drive.

Why this drive mattered

A direct IndiGo walk-in is rare in Kerala

Most cabin crew hiring in India runs through online applications, screening portals and consultants, and a large share of candidates never reach a face-to-face round. A walk-in drive removes those layers: the airline meets candidates in person, on the same day, at a single venue.

Hosting an IndiGo drive at our Kochi campus means Kerala candidates are assessed without booking flights to Delhi, Mumbai or Bengaluru. For freshers, it is often the first time a real airline recruiter, rather than a form, sees them.

  • Face-to-face from the first round

Candidates were seen in person rather than filtered by an online form, so grooming, communication and presence counted from the start.

  • Open beyond our own students

Any candidate who had finished an aviation, cabin crew, airport management or hospitality course could attend, not only SkyWings students.

  • No cost to attend

The drive was free for eligible candidates. SkyWings does not charge candidates for access to a recruitment drive it hosts.

  • Held in Kochi, not a metro

Candidates from Ernakulam, Thrissur, Alappuzha, Kottayam and across Kerala reached the venue and returned the same day.

Eligibility

Cabin crew training

Cabin crew, air hostess and inflight service courses with practical grooming and service training.

Preparation

How to prepare for a cabin crew walk-in

Walk-in rounds move quickly and first impressions carry real weight. This is what our trainers, who have flown and managed airline operations, tell candidates before a drive.

  1. Get the grooming right

Formal business attire, neatly tied hair, clean and trimmed nails, minimal jewellery, and polished closed shoes. Grooming is assessed the moment you enter the room.

  2. Carry a clean, one-page CV

Contact details, qualification, any customer-facing experience and languages spoken. Take several printed copies plus passport-size photographs.

  3. Prepare your introduction

Be ready to introduce yourself clearly in under a minute, in English. Practise aloud so it sounds natural rather than memorised.

  4. Know the basic requirements

Airlines check age, height and reach, medical fitness, clear vision, and unmarked skin on visible areas. Confirm the recruiter's published criteria before you travel.

  5. Expect a group activity

Many drives include a group discussion or activity. Contribute clearly, stay courteous, and let others speak. Recruiters watch how you behave in a team.

  6. Reach early

Arrive well before the reporting window closes. Registration queues build up quickly and late arrivals are usually not accommodated.
